PhD in Nursing in 2004 from Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro- UFRJ. Associate Professor in the Department of Public Health Nursing, School of Nursing Alfredo Pinto / Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro- (Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro – UNIRIO) since March 1994. Scholarship at Program Scholarship Support Development and Qualification of Post-graduate studies (Programa de Bolsas de Apoio ao Desenvolvimento e Qualificação da Pós-Graduação Strico-Sensu- PAPG) UNIRIO (Mar ., 2011 to Mar. 2012) for the coordination of the institutional project called Influences of Health Policy in Setting Public Health Nursing in Brazil, in the twentieth century: Demands and Trends. Founding Member of the Research on the History of Brazilian Nursing Nuphebras (Núcleo de Pesquisa em História da Enfermagem Brasileira Nuphebras/EEAN-UFRJ) and Research Laboratory of History of Nursing (Laboratório de Pesquisa de História da Enfermagem Laphe/EEAP-UNIRIO). Leader of the Research Group Laboratory of Scientific Approaches in the History of Nursing (Laboratório de Abordagens Científicas na História da Enfermagem- Lacenf). Deputy leader of the Laboratory for Research on the History of Nursing (Laboratório de Estudos em História da Enfermagem LAESHE), from University of São Paulo at Ribeirão Preto College of Nursing. Member of the Brazilian Academy of Nursing History (Academia Brasileira de História da Enfermagem - ABRADHENF). The Latin American Colloquium Award of Nursing History - 1st place (Federal University from Rio de Janeiro) in 2005 is the highlight among the seven award-winning works. Editor of the Journal of Research: Caution is Fundamental (2006-2007). Deputy Coordinator of the Pos Graduate Program in Nursing - Master - Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro, in 2008-2009. Coordinator of the Pos Graduate Program in Nursing - Master - Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro in the 2009-2010 biennium; Coordinator of Graduate Studies in Nursing and Biosciences - Doctorate - Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro at the biennium 2010 - 2011; Ad hoc consultant Gaucha Journal of Nursing Magazine Cogitare Nursing Research Review: Caution is Key; Online and Magazine Text & Context - Nursing. Published 44 scientific articles, 07 books, 37 book chapters, 02 books (organizer, in partnership with Fernando Port, books Brazilian Nursing History - Fights, Rites and Emblems, and Nursing History: Identity, Symbols and Professionalization). He has supervised 10 dissertations, 17 specialization monographs, 13 scientific initiation papers (PIBIC-CNPq, FAPERJ and IC-IC-UNIRIO) and 25 undergraduate term papers. Event Organizer of five editions of the Meeting of Researchers and Teachers of History of Nursing and Shows Scientific Production History of Nursing in Rio de Janeiro. Currently, is part of the team of researchers from the institutional design History of Care in micro and macromolecular aspects: Practice, Knowledge and Institutions in the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro. Member of the Technical Board of Education and Research of the Regional Board of Nursing – (Conselho Regional de Enfermagem - COREn-RJ).
