RN degree of Nursing and Midwifery School of Nursing by Alfredo Pinto (1975), Masters in Nursing from the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro-UNIRIO) (1990) and PhD in Nursing from the University of São Paulo (Universidade de São Paulo – USP) (2003). Currently Associate Professor (Level 4) of the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro-UNIRIO ), occupying the position of Director of the School of Nursing Alfredo Pinto (Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro-UNIRIO). Efective member of the Brazilian Nursing Association (Associação Brasileira de Enfermagem – Rio de Janeiro) and Director of Social Communication of the Brazilian Academy of Nursing History (Academia Brasileira de História da Enfermagem - ABRADHENF). Founding Member of the Research Laboratory of History of Laphe (School of Nursing by Alfredo Pinto/ Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro-UNIRIO). Member of the Laboratory for Research on the History of Nursing (Laboratório de Estudos em História da Enfermagem - LAESHE) from University of São Paulo at Ribeirão Preto College of Nursing -WHO Collaborating Centre for Nursing Research Development, Brazil. Supervisor of dissertations, monographs of expertise, scientific initiation papers and undergraduate term papers. Event organizer of eight editions of Meeting of Researchers and Teachers of History of Nursing and Shows Scientific Production History of Nursing in Rio de Janeiro. Author of books on History of Nursing. Experience in nursing, with emphasis on Medical-Surgical Nursing, acting on the following topics: history of nursing - school, history of the profession.
