ABSTRACT: The objective of this study was to develop a software for data collection and nursing prescription that provides nurses with computerized registration in an individualized, efficient and fast way. The approach used was the concept of prototyping. It is software with characteristics of flexibility and adaptability in line with the service where it will be deployed.

ABSTRACT: The systematization of nursing care is a means for nurses to apply their technical-scientific knowledge, characterizing their professional practice. Nurses have been overloaded with bureaucratic activities, spending up to 50% of their time collecting, administering and documenting information. The professional practice is difficult when in hospitals the nurse / beds occupied ratio is deficient, causing the challenge: to manage their time performing tasks with quality. This study was carried out at the Semi-Intensive Therapy Unit in a philanthropic hospital in the interior of São Paulo, idealizing the elaboration of an instrument for data collection and nursing prescription, providing manual registration in an individualized, efficient and rapid way. The methodology was developed in two stages. In the first, an instrument was developed using a database of signs and symptoms for the nurse to only underline the detected / observed data. In the second, a list of multiple choice (checklist) with nursing interventions was constructed, allowing to indicate the items necessary for the prescription to be executed and indicating the appropriate time. The instrument reduced the time to elaborate the nursing prescription by 50% and provided easy use, guaranteeing to elaborate the Nursing Process according to binomial quality / reduction in registration time. The instrument aims to develop in the future software to implement the Systematization of Nursing Care.

ABSTRACT - This study aims to identify and analyze how the graduate student in Nursing at a public university in the State of São Paulo uses the Internet. It is a non-experimental research design of the descriptive / exploratory survey type. The research was carried out in the computerized classroom and Pro-student room. The target population was composed of the students regularly enrolled in the 1st to 8th semester of the course. The sample consisted of 70 students, or 20.35% of the target population. A questionnaire was used to collect data. According to the results, all subjects had basic knowledge in Internet use, acquired mainly through self-learning. Electronic mail is the most used Internet resource and the most cited difficulties were in relation to the physical limitations of the computer room. The activities that most contribute to the use of the Internet are jobs related to graduation and activities related to research. In spite of the need for the student to acquire new knowledge, the lack of physical structure, specialized personnel and difficulty in adapting these resources according to the needs of the profession, are important obstacles in the teaching of information technology in the Institution.

ABSTRACT: The purpose of this study was to develop a software-prototype, which enables nurses to attend the phases of data collection, prescription of nursing interventions from the Nursing Assistance Systematization and its documentation in a computerized way. The multiprofessional team involved in the development of this prototype software consisted of the researcher, a system analyst and a programmer. The methodology used was based on the system development life cycle: prototyping. The definition phase began with the planning stage, followed by the definition and analysis of the necessary requirements for its construction culminating in the production of the specification of software requirements. The development phase translated the set of requirements into a computerized model, structured in 10 modules, referring to the process of data collection and prescription of nursing interventions. The evaluation of this resource in the performance of the Systematization of Nursing Assistance will be object of a later study.

ABSTRACT: The globalized world is experiencing a moment of transition, whose main factors of the changes are due to economic pressures, demands by professionals who dominate information and knowledge. Many higher education institutions (HEIs) are opening educational programs offered over the Internet. However, most educational institutions are not keeping up with the same pace of new technologies in the labor market, making the teaching-learning process deficient. The objective of this paper is to present the possibilities and importance of distance education for Brazilian education. Studies show that ODL is a growing phenomenon, but it does not imply that traditional education is coming to an end.

ABSTRACT: Technological innovations have caused changes in processes and service delivery. To better understand the impact that these innovations have had on nursing, this study aims to present a historical overview of the use of computers in nursing. To do this, a search was made to the Medline database of the scientific production published in the period 1965 to 2003. The articles were analyzed according to the decade and the theme (administration, Assistance, Education and others). In addition, the origin of the publications and the themes most investigated in each period were observed. The results demonstrated that the recovered scientific production originates, as a matter of priority, from the USA, however, the participation of Germany, Canada, Australia and England stands out. It is also observed that the main focus of research in developed countries in the 70's, 80's and 90's was the development of information systems for nursing administrative activities, along with the concern to teach to use this technology in undergraduate courses and graduate studies. The current decade characterized by the identification and definition of the nursing language and the understanding of clinical judgment. Brazilian nursing has also demonstrated its contribution to the advancement of informatics in nursing.

ABSTRACT: This article presents the second nucleation of the doctoral thesis "The Interactive Multimedia as a didactic-pedagogical resource for the theoretical-practical teaching of Semiology in Nursing". It was a descriptive-exploratory research, according to Lobiondo-Wood and Harber (2001) [1]. Semi-structured interviews were applied and the contents of Bardin (1988) [2] were analyzed for the speeches. The nucleation evidenced several statements, highlighting: 1- The actual practice is different from that offered by Interactive Multimedia (MI), however excellent it may be as a teaching resource; 2- The teacher and student are trapped in the simulation of virtual reality, forgetting the real condition of the client and; 3- The interactive CD-ROM can keep students away from each other and books. We conclude by saying, mainly, that MI is one of the technological resources that must be applied by the professor of Semiology, not eliminating, however, the other didactic-pedagogic forms.
